High Yield Vegetable GardeningLast year we were able to not only have enough produce to eat during the summer. But we were able to can and freeze alot of extra vegetables to be used during the winter. We had surplus tomatoes, beans, carrots and broccoli that we canned and froze for use during the year. We had so many tomatoes that we canned salsa, spaghetti sauce, tomato sauce and we still froze tomatoes as well. Years ago before everyone made daily trips into the grocery store people used their gardens to produce enough this would last them through to the next planting season. Having enough canned and in the freezer will reduce the amount you are spending on food.
